I had the pleasure of meeting Room 5 for the first time yesterday. I feel so honoured and blessed to be their teacher for a term. Yesterday was super hot so we had a chilled day, walking around the school and playing with our new activities.
As you know, we have been learning about plants and bees. We have been learning about how important bees are as pollinators.
Here we are looking closely at plants to see where the bees get the pollen from. To get up close we are using magnifying sheets. We were wondering what are the best plants and flowers for bees? We heard they like sunflowers so we planted some!
A fantastic start to Book Week. Look who came to visit......it's Cat in the Hat!! Thank you for visiting Room 1. We had an awesome time this morning listening to you read.
And Cat in the Hat taught us a rhyme. Have a look at the video.
And we met an Author....Zenobia Southcombe! (This is Mrs Southcombe's daughter). She read to us and we talked about writing and reading. It was very interesting.
